Go Natural: A Designing Secret

When touching up a photo of someone, there are many classic mistakes that come with the job: bad lighting, discoloring, etc. If you're a designer, you probably already know all this. However, there is one factor of successfully retouching photos many people do not know about.

Everyone has traits that, when enhanced, make the PERFECT edit. A more natural looks way more realistic.

Take this example:

Before:

Though taken in great lighting, her eyes have dark circles (student life, guys, student life). What makes them more visible is her short lashes. Her lips are pale. The hair, with barely any shine, seems a bit lifeless.

After:

The lashes have returned! Together with slight eyeshadow, the dark circles are much less noticeable. The lightening of the ends gives her hair more life. And can you believe that the shade of her lips are actually their natural color, darkened? Realistic, right?

You don't have to paint new lips or add a wig to make someone look different. Just bringing out certain aspect of their face can be a total makeover. All you need is a vision!
